40 Years of What
You Make Possible

And we’re just getting started

Forty years ago, Boise Schools Foundation began with a simple belief: when a community invests in its schools, extraordinary things become possible.

The people of Boise have helped students pursue bigger dreams, given educators the freedom to bring new ideas to life.

Nearly $50 million has been raised and returned to Boise students, teachers and schools. But the truest measure of that impact lives in the people, places and possibilities behind every dollar.

These are just a few of their stories.

An opportunity to go further.

Lydia Love

A $20,000 Bev and George Harad AVID Scholarship helped Boise High graduate Lydia Love take her next step at the University of Idaho, where she is studying Global Disease Ecology. One scholarship became an opportunity to pursue her ambitions and discover where they might lead.

This is what you make possible for students.

A small grant. A bright idea.

Sarah Shackelford

With a $405 Innovation Grant, fourth-grade teacher Sarah Shackelford gave students at Adams Elementary the opportunity to design, build and test their own electrical circuits. A few new classroom resources became hands-on learning, collaborative problem-solving and the spark of discovery.

This is what you make possible for teachers.

More room to build a future.

Norco Welding Lab

An $850,000 investment doubled the size of the welding lab at Dennis Technical Education Center (DTEC), expanding access to hands-on career and technical education for Boise students.
More space became more opportunities to develop real-world skills and build a path toward what comes next.

This is what you make possible for Boise Schools.

Where Your
Support Goes

Our goal is $3 million, split evenly across the three pillars of the Boise School District community:

  • $1 million for Students — Supports scholarships, student basic needs, activities, athletics.
  • $1 million for Teachers — Funds innovation grants and classroom support.
  • $1 million for Boise Schools — Supports playground facilities, science and music equipment.

Every dollar donated is directed to one of these three crucial areas, ensuring your gift makes a measurable difference where it’s needed most.

The Next Possibility

What will you make possible?

For 40 years, gifts from people across Boise have become classroom breakthroughs, life-changing opportunities and stronger schools. Your support can become the next resource an educator needs, the next door that opens for a student or the next big idea brought to life. The first 40 years showed us how far possibility can travel. Now, let’s see where you take it next.
